We are the people of Iran. The students struggling to pay university tuition, the parents searching for a second job to pay the bills, and the aspiring entrepreneurs who are forced into a world of debt and conformity.
We are the people who are suffering a little more every year. Every Holiday, every election, every Friday prayer, the Government promises the situation will get better—but it doesn’t. Their subsidies aren’t working. There are no jobs. Our economy is shameful.
And for what? The nuclear program? What’s in it for us? Our Government keeps telling us we need it, that it’s vital to our national identity and security, and that it is out right. But all we see are sanctions, and the world’s distrust of our people and nation. The nuclear program is hurting us—not helping us.
